Here I am again.

I really need to do this blog. Thank you TEDYBEAR2838 for reminding me. I need to make this work.

This month has been tougher than usual. My dad died after having 3 years of Alzheimer's. He lived in a facility in WA state. I had only seen him once. I saw him in June. I am very happy that I finally did go and see him. He recognized me, kissed my hand and grinned at me. Bless his soul. His wife didn't want to cope with him and left him off at a barbeque at the facility and he didn't know that she left. He really did need help later but not when he was left off, he was still cognizant of many things. He was so upset. But he is in a better place now, I am thankful to God for that.

I have been nursing a bad knee lately, missing my walks. Feeling very old. Still taking care of my Mom's and Aunt's affairs. Both of them are in facilities and I work full time. My hubby is sleeping right now - it's 11 AM on Sunday. He has sleep apnea and won't get any help for it. Both of us need to lose weight. It would make getting older so much better....better sleep, thinking functions, sex, packing suitcases, exercising, the works! Not to mention, probably Alzheimer's!

Well, I am just a real downer it seems lately. At least we are healthy in many other ways. We love and respect eachother, we are best friends. I really need my hubby to see the brighter side of life, he is my partner.

So, last night we went out with my daughter and her family. The grandkids are so cute! My husband said to order the meal at Outback and was willing to share. We usually share a hamburger and fries and have side salads. Well this time I ordered the filet with fries and side salads. He looked very dissapointed when the meal came. But at the end he said that he was satisfied. That's what I wish for us and everyone. Just to be content and satisfied. If only our eyes didn't fool us and think we should want more! More of everything!

Everyone - have a good week. Things can only get better, that's the great thing about Sparkpeople! Thank you so much for your support. What a great bunch of people!

Sorry to hear of your dad passing..Your life sounds very busy. As for dh losing pounds, a great idea to have him when your knee is better, go on a walk & invite him along. It works like a charm. emoticon emoticon

Sorry about your father, that must have been difficult for you. It is difficult to work out with pain but perhaps you could just begin to walk 10 minutes and slowly work up to more. My husband also suffers from sleep apnea and has been using a bipap machine for about two years. It has helped so much and he is more awake now that he uses it.
