A BIT INTIMIDATING!

Saturday, August 28, 2010

My parcel arrived just a bit ago with all of my study materials for my new course, Nutritional Consultant, and I must say it is a bit intimidating. There a many books, some CD's, some video's and 3 binders. The course includes: anatomy & physiology, toxicity & detoxification, dietary guidelines & water, pediatric nutrition, medical terminology, alternative healing methods, common ailements: prevention and treatment, weight loss, physical fitness, orthomolecular nutrition, business procedures and finally nutritional profiles case studies. My head is swimming and I hope I haven't bitten off more that I can chew. The coures takes from 9 to 12 months to complete and I can see why, it looks very thorough and intense. My hope and plan is to complete this course and then move on to the diploma course of Holistic Health Practitioner. Realizing how a plant based diet has improved my health and well being I have become very passionate about educating others of the benefits of plant based nutrition not only for our own personal health but also for the health of our planet. To coin Rip Esselstyn's phrase "Stay Plant Strong."

You motivate me. I also received an overwhelming box for a course, 'Nutritional Coach' and I placed it in the corner and forgot all about it. Lots of things, some of which dealt with anatomy and such that I felt was way over the top. But you're inspiring me, so I'm going to go and resume studying it.

    Thanks for the motivation.

You can do it because all you have to think about is what you are doing at a given moment, not the entire thing. Pick one thing, do it, pick another... Remember to enjoy the moment.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Diana, how exciting! I took a distance learning course about 6 years ago & got a big box like that. It was overwheming but I got through it. I learned a great deal in an area of particular interest in my field. But one thing that means so much to me is that I made two great friends who took it when I did. We didn't meet face to face until later. We became acquainted when the class members posted case examples & everyone made comments. We were among the ones who participated the most. Who knows what discoveries & blessings are in store for you!
