My weight loss journey

Well this is the beginning of my weight loss journey.
I am 40 years old mother of two. A son that is 14 yrs and a daughter that is 11 years old. I have a wonderful husband and great children but when it comes to support they are having trouble as I have not been very successful on staying on course and achieving my goal. I started gaining weight when I got married in 1995 as my husband new how to cook and I didn't have to eat ichi ban soup or macaroni and cheese any more. I went up to having full cooked meals and still eating my bad habits of chips, chocolate and candy. So the pounds started to come on then children happened and more weight came on and now I am 40 yrs old and I am 5 foot 1 inches and 177lbs. I am supposed to be at 118 to 130 for my height.
I would do great for awhile with eating healthy and exercising then I would stop and a year later do it again than stop.
My family are giving up on me and I don't believe in myself either so how do you get through this and so no and eat healthy and exercise? Why do I want to continue to eat the junkie foods and do min exercise. Stay depressed and tired all the time.
