Well, since my dream to be a Grandma doesn't seem to be happening I am happily "Surrogate Grandma" to Asha. Asha is my daughter-in-laws sister's beautiful little girl. Asha's biological Grandma's don't live locally so the family had asked me to step in and be her Grandma. I took care of Asha when she was a newborn after her Mommy had to return to work and then I was in a car accident which resulted in shoulder surgery and I couldn't pick her up so they had to get a full time nanny. Since I am of Polish descent they calle me "Babcia", Polish for Grandma and that feels very special to me. So Asha just turned 3 and I wanted to share a couple of pictures of her and I from her birthday party yesterday. She loves the Princesses from Disney so she is in her Cinderella attire. I did good at the party sticking to my food plan. I offered to bring a green salad which I chose from Dr. Fuhrman's book Eat for Health called Green Velvet Vegetable Salad and I also took a dish from The Engine 2 Diet book, a rice salad with pinto beans and veggies, both went over big.
So anyway, here are a couple of pics of me and my little princess.
