Not only did I make it through my rice & fruit day, I broke my plateau

I was surprised at how well the day went. I wasn't totally optimistic. Thought I would be weak and starving all day...but I wasn't. I did have to supplement with a few slices of low sodium turkey...not because I was hungry, but because I felt a little lightheaded. I was amazed how satisfied and full I actually felt most of the time.
But the best part was, it was just the little push I needed to break my 2 week plateau. Yep, I saw a new number on the scale this morning....was down 3 lbs.!
Will I make a rice/fruit day a weekly habit? Probably not. I will save it for the next time I need a plateau buster or am craving fruit again. It really did the trick on both counts.
1) Yogurt with blackberries & walnuts
2) Cucumbers, carrots, and hummus
3) Soup with 1/3 c. brown rice
4) Almonds and craisins
5) Tuna salad with whole wheat elbow macaroni, sliced tomatos
6) Apple with 1 Tbs. peanut butter
EXERCISE: 30 min. DVD
10 mins. arms & shoulders
10 mins. thighs & legs
10 mins. total body
