The dreaded season of eating

The season of eating is upon us. You know what I mean. The candy, the deserts, the bountiful plates full of wonderful, fat filled foods. I am trying not to panic. But lets be realistic, I'm going to want to eat it because well, it tastes good. So, I've decided to try and hit this off before it even starts. I'm not going to tell myself that I can't have any of it. That is the very one thing that will make me want it more and lets face it, I'd be setting myself up for failure. Moderation and portion size is the key here. I can do this, I can reach my goal!!

    I am with you 100%! The only thing I am going to ban is gluttony. I am going to eat my bit of dressing, sliver of dessert and piece of candy ( or 2! ) with happiness and appreciation. A couple of days out of the year are perfectly acceptable to celebrate with wisdom and joy. I am going to modify some dishes to be healthier or maybe try a new recipe. My happiness is not dependent on the weight of my plate! Prayers of Happiness for you
