I knew I was doing it wrong...

So I've been doing Insanity again.
Well, trying to. I started smoking again in May or June, and just stopped again a few weeks ago. Lemme tell you, having lung capacity when doing Insanity really really helps.
So, this round, I've been doing my best, but not as well as I'd like. I gained a few pounds back this summer from just laying around drinking, eating pizza and having a ball. I'm trying to get back on track, especially since I know how much better I feel working out then smoking. I can't believe something that drags you down soo low, is soo addictive. EEEVVVVVIIILLLLLL
Anyway, I'm reading this article today from CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALT

ssor/index.html?iref=NS1)
This guy eats nothing but twinkies and doritos and loses weight?! I'm doing Insanity and drinking soy protein shakes and gain?! WTH?!
Of course, my peace of mind comes in knowing that eating like that means there is no way I could possibly push my body to do Insanity. You put out, what you put in. I can tell when I've eaten bad and try to exercise.
Seriously, try it. Eat beautifully for three weeks while exercising. Make a log of your energy level before during and after your workout. Then eat like crap for two days for sitting for two days...tell me there's no difference!
Did you know that one 4 oz cup of Activia plus Fiber Peach yogurt is 110 calories!! Sheesh...maybe that's why I'm not losing anything...
