Fall 5% Challenge Day 44
Tuesday, November 09, 2010
Yesterday I had every intention of running when I got home. When I got outside I could smell burning grass/garbage. I assume it was some farmer clearing his field somewhere to the north of the city. The closer I got to home the stronger it got. When I got out of the car at home it was overwhelming. There was no way I was going to run in that. You could taste it. I was really annoyed. I hate when a perfectly beautiful fall day is ruined with the smell of burning leaves, grass or whatever. Fall doesn't last that long here that we can afford to squander the nice days. They are predicting a significant drop in temperature by midweek so I hope my wussy self will still be motivated to get out there and run.
I have a ringette game tonight and thankfully I won't have to play in goal. Tonight is the night that my mother's interview will be on TV. Actually it should air in the next half hour or so. I should hurry home. On my way to work this morning the radio affiliate was plugging it's news coverage and the interview was one of the enticements to watch the 6 o'clock news. "She's 83. What keeps Alda Tait going and when will she be ready to throw in the towel?" It was kinda weird to have that come on while I was driving to school. I guess I get to find what kind of fool I made of myself soon.
Well I'm hungry and a little tired so I think I'll go home eat and maybe nap before my game at 9:00 pm. Hope you all had a great day.
Shooting Stars I hope you are racking up those exercise minutes. I want to ride on a camel!
The interview will be on CTV Winnipeg Sports at 6:00 and 11:30ish. There is an internet link.
