Week 38

Its about 38 weeks since I started my weight loss journey. At that time I was having a hard time walking more than a few yards. I had to get a handi cap sticker for my car, because if I had to walk to far in the parking lot I could not shop as much as I wanted too. I love to shop. I even retired from my job of 27 years because I just could not keep up with the job as I wanted too. I figured it was age that was making me so tired and well stress too. I now know it was all this extra weight. Today I was down 2 more pounds for a total of 74 pounds.
I now park as far away as I can and have energy to shop as long as I want. I keep Increaseing how much exercise i do can push a bit more. When I started I was lucky to do a 15 minute walk away the pounds DVD. and do weight lifting for 5 mintes. Now I do walk away the pounds the 3 mile 3 times a week and the 1 mile 2 times a week. I do weight training and exercises 3 times a week for 45-60 minutes. I go to the mall 3 times a week and walk for 45-60. Still slower than I ould like but i'm building on it.
Its been hard at times, but not as hard as carring around all that extra weight. I still have a long way to go. but slowly I will get to my goal. I want to have a happy and healthy life at any weight.
Sparkpeople has helped me get back my active life. I'm looking foreward to this summer so I can go hiking and biking with Gary and really enjoy myself. Thank You to all the wonderful people who support me everday no matter what. You are what its all about. We all need support from our friends.
