Continuing my recovery......

Sunday, December 05, 2010

I am down about 30 lbs. I have a hard time believing it! I finally went back to FA (Food Addicts in Recovery). It took me about a year and a half to make it back once I decided to go back, but I FINALLY made it. Even better, both my sisters joined me so they are both about 30 lbs. down also. I am looking forward to taking a Christmas picture when we all get together at the Christmas party and I will post it.
Our family has gone through some trying times. We lost my eldest brother last May, one of my sisters August 13th, my other sister went through breast cancer treatment, my other sister's husband was treated for lymphoma, and now my 40 year old niece is in the hospital right now just had surgery to remove a tumor from her brain! It is very scary, she is not recovering as well as I hoped she would. BUT, I have stuck with my eating plan and my program very well so I am reaping the rewards. I just have to remember that everything is in God's hands I can not control or fix any of it and eating does not help ANYTHING! My knee is much, much better but it is still too sore to exercise. I am looking forward to being able to exercise again. That will not only make me healthier it will help firm me up and take the weight off even faster. So far 3 months almost 30 lbs. gone! YEAH!

Sorry to hear of all the sorrow and hard times but it is fantastic that through it all you have been able to stay committed to your goa.
