Recipe: LC Psylli Crackers

Psylli (pronounced: silly) Crackers (also makes a pie crust or taco shells or pizza crust or tart shells....) You may triple the recipe but DO NOT increase the oil, and DO cook the entire recipe all at once.

2 T psyllium husk powder
1/2 c = extra water
1 T oil
1 1/2 t salt
1 t spices to taste, optional
1 packet artificial sweetener, optional
1/4 t vanilla, optional
1 egg, optional

Heat oven to 4oo F. Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients. Combine, adding water as needed to get a thin wet dough. Oil a cookie sheet. Spread mixture as thin as possible (1 recipe will cover half of a 15" bake pan). Bake until crisp, 35-45 minutes.* Check every 10 minutes for burning and to burst large bubbles.

*When almost done, score into pieces; flip to brown if desired.
*If making tart shells or taco shells, form into circles of the right size and fold in half or mould over cups when almost done, yet still pliable.

    Hi I have a question What is psyillum husk powder? I have never heard of it. Where do you get it? Oh I quess thats 2 questions. I would like to try and make this recipe for my homemade pizzas
