Look out for re-cycled pounds!

Friday, December 10, 2010

I've been struggling with the weight , since Thanksgiving---You see, it's been going the wrong way--At first I blamed it on my scales, but I really did know, that my portion control, was out of whack-- so--- then I blamed the turkey dinner and the pie and how difficult it was to not just keep on eating--- until----- the scales were up to a 6 lb gain---- Thank goodness for Spark--So---- Ive been struggling , to get these re-cycled pounds off---and---- have gotten 4.4 lbs off---and I really think that--""-Recycled pounds"" are the worst!!!--They've been on and off and on and off, so many times, they don't seem to know if they are coming or going---- Geez!

That is EXACTLY where I am!!! I was thinking of a blog titled "It's not a plateau, I'm recycling" and you beat me to it emoticon Glad I'm not alone - not to DO something "permanent" about it. I've got bikinis to wear in 2011! (Virtual ones, in my mind for now, of course) emoticon

I love the name you gave it! You are doing good if four of those pounds are already gone! Keep it up! You are on the right track! emoticon Holidays are always so hard to deal with! emoticon

What the perfect name for the pounds that keep sneaking back on. It's so frustrating! I hope you keep the scale moving the right way again.

I'm in the same boat with you! The last two months have been a waste re. weight I too have gained five pounds.

But, the good news is that we are AWARE of what is happening in our bodies. We are not avoiding the scales like we used to. Don't worry, soon we shall both hit the psychological trigger point again and renew our efforts with renewed vigor.

By the way, a friend told me that a neutrition expert taught her that the first bite of food tastes the best. Then the pleasure decreases with each additional bite. So...don't deprive yourself of holiday goodies. Just try to put one or two bites of most foods on your plate so you can taste it all. But fill up on the veggies and greens and hot drinks so you are not hungry.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I refer to my missing pounds as my "real" weight loss and my faux weight loss. For example I am down about 20 pounds but since it was 20 pounds that i never actually acknowledged that I had it doesn't really count. I am now at the weight I always imagine that I am at so the pounds that come off now will be "real" weight loss. I know, I know all this stuff makes us crazy!!! emoticon

Can we give our pounds names? We are always fighting to rid ourselves of "The Pounds". Why can't we try to rid ourselves of "Scott" followed by "Papa Smurf" etc. Lol.

P.S. I love Papa Smurf. Don't send hate mail!
    Scott is another story!

    Cute blog.
You are doing good now, just keep up the good work, yes work. It is hard , but see how far you have came.
I like to look at my tracker and see how much I have lost, don't want to do that one again. SO need to keep a check on what goes into this mouth LOL
You can do this.....yes you can.
Proud of how much you have lost, it is not easy, if it were, we would not have needed to lost weight in the first place.

I think we've all been there. I get upset when I think how hard I worked to get some pounds off, just to have them creep back on. And yes, it's so hard to get rid of them the next time. You are back on track and working to get them off. Keep it up.
