Fresh Start

Monday, December 13, 2010

The other day when I got on my Wii Fit Plus and realized that I had been using it for over 495 days without a lot of results. I made up my mind that I needed a Fresh Start. So I reset my Wii.. took down some cookbooks (diabetic), and worked up a Fresh routine for myself.

I have noticed over the past couple of months that I have felt sluggish and bored with my old routine of exercise and eating the same old food. 2011 is almost here and I have planned a change up in ractivity and food variety that I hope will encourage me to get healtier.

I have set new goals for the coming yar. Goals I think are more reachable for me. I have always had problems with setting small goals and working on them one at a time. Well I plan on changing that this time around. My first mini goal is to lose 8lbs between now and my birthday in February. That may not sound like much but to me it is a reachable goal.

We can only achieve what we strive to reach. Reaching is have the battle. Once you have what you have reached for keeping it is the other half of the battle.

Debbie, an 8# loss is an emoticon & achievable goal emoticon . Way to go on t restructuring your goal plan, I need to do that as well as 2010 is winding down.

You are so wise to make changes in your routine if you don't feel it's working at this time.
I also think it's wise to set a reachable goal. I used to make unrealistic goals for myself and then feel defeated and disgusted when I didn't reach them. Those feelings would result in my giving up entirely!

As one of my Spark friends reminded me, don't forget to reward yourself for following through and meeting each goal. It doesn't have to be a big reward, but we all like to be rewarded when we've done something good. I wish you luck and hope that your New Year is better than this one in helping you meet your goals.
