Cooking classes

Sunday, January 09, 2011

Today, Kate and I went to free cooking classes at Williams Sonoma. They did a stir fry demonstration that was amazing! Added to the new skills we learned and new friends we made, we even got lunch! Everyone got a decent size taste of the dishes we saw being made. These were low calorie delights and, of course, since I didn't have to buy or prepare lunches for the two of us, we purchased some new goodies for home. We bought a garlic wheely thing, you put the peeled cloves inside, wheel it around and, voila, chopped garlic! Kate wanted a set of mini cookie cutters, for her signature, Cake Pops, by Bakerella. (these are as fattening as they sound!)
Hopefully, we can get in next weeks class, which is grilling, but as of now, all filled up.
Now it's off to the library.
Love to all! www.bakerella.com/

I wish we had one of the stores around here. I love stir-frys. It sounds like it was a fun time.

Good for you. A free class, healthy eating, sampling to fill you up and $ left over for some goodies...........couldn't ask for much more. I never did get the hang of stir frying although I do like it when some one else makes stuff. Have a great week.
