Day 9: Update

For those of you who sent goodies, advice, suggestions, tea & sympathy, words of understanding and kindness - thank you!
I can sit at the computer longer now, whereas for the last few days it's been a struggle. (And I don't have a laptop, even if I had a lap, lol.) I'll get caught up, it just might take awhile.
I found several exercises that are supposed to help with back pain / strain. I think they are: although it was pretty stiff and painful when I got up this morning, I did a ten-minute set of the VERY GENTLE stretches and I have definitely done better today. I'm taking it very slowly, though, so I can mend.
I'm going to see the doctor this week to try to nag him (!) into hurrying my podiatrist appointment to deal with the plantar fasciitis. (Yes, Cath, your idea is a good one - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but right now, some of the time is better than none of the time, lol...) I'll also bring up the back problem, with an eye toward getting him to set me up to see the physical therapist - I want some pointers on how to strengthen my back correctly so I don't have this recur in the future.
Again, thank you all for your good wishes. I just know 'the vibes' are helping to bring improvement.
