Food Choices. AAAAAHHHHH!

So. It is now Day 3. Definitely still not very far into this journey. But three days is more than zero days. :-)

This morning I was making my lunch for work (at 4:30am because I work at 5:30) and I realized that the foods we currently have at my house are setting me up for failure (can you say Little Debbie snacks, PopTarts, Doritos and cookies?!?!) So after finding what healthy choices I could (orange, apple, a sandwhich, and applesauce) I sat down and wrote a grocery list of heathier foods that I wanted to get. Things like light yogurt, granola, fresh fruits and veggies.

I think that groceries are going to be one of the biggest struggles for me, because right now I live at home with my dad and sister (my sister is 25 and it will come as no surprise that both of them are overweight as well). Both of them want to lose weight but neither of them has actually made a decision to live a healthier life. That means that even when I want better foods in the house, they will probably still have the less healthy foods here... tempting me. Half of me says "that is certainly less than ideal" and the other half of me says "Good. you can't spend the rest of your life afraid of being around unhealthy food." So hopefully my willpower can stand up to the temptation, or maybe they will be understanding and until I can stick by my healthy decisions they will make some changes too!

The good news is that my dad called me this evening saying he was going to the grocery store to get the things I had written on the list, so at least the healthy options will be here!!

(Side Note: I am really loving the song F**in Perfect by P!nk... but the radio edit version. I think it is just a great anthem or theme song for my journey)
