The moment you get that call

Saturday started just fine, I walked the dog , I shopped for groceries and I had time to clean the house. Then the phone rang- I have your daughter and I am taking her to the hospital- the rest of the family has been flown to a trauma center in PA. I fell to the floor. We were waiting for the kids and grandkids to arrive from Ohio, now I am told they crashed on Interstate 70. All I could do is pray. We dropped everything and got to the hospital as fast as we could. All the way praying! Granddaughter is 18 month- When I saw her she was not crying just stared off into space she was in shock-bruises is all the little one had( Thank God for car seat!) Grandson is almost 3-has 2 fractured ribs and stitches( thank God for car seats!)Son in law - only cuts from flying glass. My daughter was pinned in the car, they used the jaws of life to get her out. She got the worst of the accident. She will heal! We have them all still with us! To look at the car it is amazing it was not worst.
I want to thank the two men who stopped to help before the police arrived, I know they are not on here, but I have to tell someone about them. The first stopped he did not know what to do so he did what he could he prayed for them. The second was a fedex driver that was also a EMT- he was able to break the windows and get my grandkids out of the car. I heard he helped keep my grandson clam while they waited for the flight to take him to the hospital. Where ever you wonderful people are may you be blessed! Thank you for stopping and helping!
