Changes--Afraid??

Saturday, January 29, 2011

I have worked many years in IT (information technology), including a lot of hands on jobs involving computers and printing, as well as being a supervisor/manager. One of the many issues I remember are people who can't stand it everytime the company got new computers, changed a procedure, or even (gasp) rearranged items on a desk emoticon (this was from a dayshift person who wanted the desk just so, and night shift needed the adding machine on for a half hour or so)

It comes to mind that a lifetime of screwy eating habits, including the clean plate club pushed by parents who grew up in the depression, are all obstacles that can be overcome. A person has to open the mind, embrace the change, for it to become easier and be willing to make it work. To be successful, you have to want to change, and be able to be flexible in order to move forward.

I always did like getting new computers. . . . . .

In my house it was the starving children in China. I used to wonder why we didn't eat less and send them the money we saved on grocery's! emoticon
