DAY 24

Wednesday, February 09, 2011

Good evening, Sparkers!

It has been a beautiful day here in Toronto, albeit a little on the chilly side. The sky is perfectly clear, though, and the sun has been shining all day. With any luck this means I’ll be able to start getting ready for the C25K Challenge that everyone is going to crazy over!

I have been feeling less than my usual self today. I woke up early and tried to force myself to sleep in until 7:00 – big mistake! When I finally got out of bed I felt restless and hurried. I should have woken up at 6:00 like my body wanted to! It’s too late to worry about that now, obviously, but it’s a habit I’m going to have to work on overcoming: more sleep is NOT ALWAYS a good thing!

As far as my diet is concerned, I’m rather pleased with myself so far

When I got to work I had a nice warm mug of Nestle Hot Chocolate, Extra Creamy – per package there is only 120 calories, 3g of fat, 120mg of sodium, and 23 carbs. Not bad! I ate ONE of those chocolate turtles because they were oh so tempting. At lunch I had the turkey breast and ham sandwich from subway and a bottle of Minute Maid apple juice. Then, about an hour after, I had a second chocolate turtle! They’re so good! I’m eight hundred calories shy of my maximum so eating a filling dinner shouldn’t be that difficult. I have some colourful peppers in the fridge that still have to get used up as well as some tuna and pasta noodles. I’m feeling a pasta salad in the making!

And in regards to execise, I plan to do AT LEAST:

Day 1: Bootcamp Video (cardio)
Day 1: Brand New YOU Cardio Kickboxing Video (cardio) x2
Day 2: Bootcamp Video
Day 3: Bootcamp Video
6-Minute Butt Blasting Workout Video

Then, if I can get either Ana Laura or Paulo to come over, I will head down to the pool for some more PROPER swimming! Go me!

I also just want to make a point of saying how pleased I am with the five ladies (including myself) who have joined the Food on Focus team. We’re small at the moment, but I think we’re going to do really well so long as we keep active and communicative! If you haven’t joined but are interested, you can join the team by clicking the link on my Spark Page!
