I have officially completed the 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge and I have lost a grand total of three pounds! Considering the fact that I am not wildly overweight and that I did not alter my diet until the last week or so, I’d have to say that my results are better than I could have ever realistically expected.
Today is Valentine’s Day and, as I had guessed, it is revolving almost entirely around food.
I chose not to eat breakfast and when I came in to work, the first thing I did was grab a tall glass of water and make myself a tea. Up until 12:30PM, I had consumed only five calories! Hurrah! And then the unthinkable happened: I ate lunch.
My boss, Tony, loves to celebrate any and all holidays. He ordered Italian food for us and I, of course, took it upon myself to take advantage of the situation. I take some pride in the fact that I only had one plate (I usually take two or sometimes three) but it was still pretty heavy: a small piece of lasagna, a large spoonful of rice, some roasted potatoes, a tiny, tiny chicken breast, and a large bun. And then: TWO CUPCAKES. Yummy! If I had to guesstimate, I would say I consumed at least 1200 calories in that single meal.
At 8:30PM I am meeting a friend for dinner at ANOTHER Italian restaurant. I will try to limit myself to something small, but the way we talk I will most likely wind up nibbling at an entrée for a few hours. C’est la vie!
I am going to be home just before 6:00PM so I will speed through selecting an outfit to wear and then exercise my butt off for an hour or so. A quick jump in the shower to wash the sweat off and I will be good to go at 8:00PM. I know that that is cutting it close but it is the only way I am going to feel okay going out and eating MORE food this evening.
Today is “DAY 15” which is intended to be CARDIO ONLY. Since we’re not supposed to exercise the same body parts two days in a row, I am left with upper body exercises as my only other option. As such, I will be doing the following:
