Not sure if any of you that record your Zumba class sessions and post them to YouTube have heard any issues with Zumba requesting removal of those videos but I just ran across this video of a group that I enjoy.

I know some people just post a little here and there, and I'm not sure what the details of this situation was but apparently as mentioned in the video above, you can't wear Zumba wear on your videos? Wow, so just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone had not heard about it. Check with Zumba on their policies so that you don't encounter a similar situation as these ladies did.

    Yeah Zumba has strict rules about that. Also with their music, choreography, etc etc. With the hickory chicks, unfortunately they were TOO popular, so it was a red flag to Zumba corporation. I seriously doubt i'd get any of that popularity anytime soon, but yes, will definitely be more conscious of what we wear in the future. That way you can just change the name of the video, rather than have to re-film everything! Yikes!

    I DID know that using the Zumba name was a nono... but what else do you call it? Latin Dance fitness? I don't post videos often and if they ask me to take down my current one's I will!

    The Hickory Chicks are super great though... it's too bad about their unfortunate circumstances in this case!

    Wow I saw those videos, thanks for the heads up. I have not done any Zumba but was going to do one. Now I will just make it a dance workout video ;-)
