Almost Six Pounds Later

I fell off the wagon last week. What I mean by this is that I totally skipped tracking my nutrition and refused to exercise. Stress was a factor, lack of sleep was another. It took a few days to get myself back to the "motivational" me. Today was that day.

Normally I log my weight every Thursday morning. Today is the new start however. So today became the new "weight tracking" day. I had fully embraced myself to see the numbers go up. Especially considering my hiatus to anything healthy.

I was remarkably surprised to see the number on the scale went DOWN. Not by a lot, not on target with my goal date in the graphs, however, it still went DOWN.

Talk about a kick of motivation! In the past month joining spark people and utilizing the FREE tools and resources here I have ALREADY far surpassed any efforts made within the last year. THAT is impressive. I enjoy reading the blogs, LOVE all the articles the website has to offer, and last night we cooked our THIRD dish off of the recipe site. I love sharing it with my husband who (although he hasn't joined the site) takes the quizzes sitting next to me, reads my blogs, and fully supports the steps I'm taking for a healthier me.

I have ALMOST lost 6 pounds. For me, this is pretty impressive. In another few pounds I'll be back into a healthy BMI. This will be the first time in years! I know too that continuing my workouts I'll gain more strength and more energy. Sure, for a few days I was MIA, however overall I do have more energy now. I have less tension and back problems too. The combination of seeing a chiropractor and exercising I KNOW is helping me to make a difference.

I'm back. I'm getting back on track. And I am again excited! For anyone who may read my blogs, I'm sure at this point I seem like a yo-yo. GOOD TO GO, slump, GOOD TO GO, slump. The point is that progress is still being made. For a lifestyle change when it comes to my health I'm just ecstatic that progress continues.

One week from today the bathroom scales and I go head to head. It better watch out because I AM READY.
