Boooooo...

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

As if I wasn't already feeling a little less-than-pleased with my appearance (see yesterday's blog post) the scale wasn't too friendly today, either.

137.8

I mean, it's .8 pounds less than last Wednesay's sodium-induced gain, but it's .6 pounds higher than last Thursday after all of the water weight was gone.

Yeah, I'm whining over a half pound of "gain". Sue me. emoticon

I normally wouldn't let this bring me down... but my work pants feel tighter and I still have this mini-complex about my "jiggly"-ness... BUT I'm going to work my hardest to get it out of my head.

As if I didn't get soaked enough on Saturday, tonight I have an hour long run in the rain. I guess this is mother nature's way of telling us Spring is coming soon.

In other news, I'm enjoying hearing about all of my friends' Lent plans. I'm not Christian so this Lent thing was very much unknown to me until I went to college and my Catholic boyfriend educated me on some of the holidays that I never experienced beyond what Macy's and Hallmark tells me (Easter & Christmas). Let me tell you... the first time I saw ash on people's foreheads for Ash Wednesday I was in complete shock and didn't know if I should tell them they had dirt on their faces! Haha.

Well, while my friends are eating fish on Fridays and staying off of Facebook for 40 days, I'll gladly eat some pork or beef whenever I want and continue to update my Facebook status. emoticon

Anyway, off to work I go.

*jiggle jiggle*

I texted a friend this morning to mention "awesome stuff going on on facebook" because they had given it up!

You know, it really is okay for women to jiggle. Keeping in mind that (back in the day) Marilyn Monroe, Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren, etc... were all celebrated for their jiggle ! Do you realize that today, those women would probably be told they were FAT and needed to go on a diet to lose the jiggle ! How wrong is that ?

Which is my point, beautiful women do jiggle. It's today's society that says that women should have the figures of adolescent boys with boobs. If you want boobs and a curvy figure, you've got to expect the jiggle to go with it.
