It's quite and peaceful this morning. Bob is still sleeping and as usual I have been up for about an hour. Not much movement in the neighborhood and I stood and looked out our patio door at the barren fields. Soon the soil will be cultivated ready for wheat. I love watching the wheat grow. First a sea of green that just seems to turn to gold. I think that is my favorite crop ..........it doesn't interfere with the view of the tree line that hides the levy. The night scenery is beautiful too. You can see the lights from the bridge that spans the Mississippi River.
We will be working the fish fries this evening and along with that we have a quilt raffle for our parish. Those funds will be given to our CCW for bereavement dinners.
Today I feel gratitude for the life God has given me. My blessings are great.
My challenges will be eating in proportion and not grazing on the food that is so conveniently put in my reach.
