Hi everyone! Been a while since I even felt like posting a blog. There was so much going on and it seems as thought it is finall settling down. Maddie will be 4 on Saturday. Can't believe it, my baby.
We have had Aydan tested for Asperger's, a form of autism and got a diagnosis of PDD NOS, pervasive developmental disorder non specifec. Which basically means, he falls on the autism spectrum, but the cannot call it asperger's because his adhd hinders the diagnosis. Kevin and I need to go back for an in depth 3hr interview on when he started to do things like walk, talk, all those sorts of things. He is on a waiting list for a TSS worker, someone who would be with him 3 hours a day in school, and he will be getting services through the school. Finally , progress after 3 years of trying to get somewhere. We still have a long road to go, but at least it has finally started!
I have been trying to focus on me, but with all this going on, it has been very hard. I've maintained my weight, but I am ready to start losing it again. I am refocussing on my diet and my water. I have been drinking too much soda and tea, so now to get back to water.
That's all I have for now.

Glad to hear you are taking care of yourself as well, even if it is just a little bit!

kudos to you for working to get your son a diagnosis so that he can now get some support at school...hope things continue on an upswing...
its really easy to lose sight of your own needs when you have kiddos with challenges so please try really hard to remember to take a few special minutes each day for yourself, ok?

Congratulations to you and your husband for fighting to get your son the help he needs and deserves! You are giving him the best chance you can, and should be very proud of yourselves.

It's hard to take care of yourself when you're focusing so much on taking care of someone else, so be gentle with yourself while you're trying to get back on track. Drinking water instead of soda or tea (unless it's clear, unsweetened green tea) is a great start. emoticon
