Blog #20 - the runner.

So yesterday I decided to run. Well, I had decided a few weeks ago that I would train for a 5k after I hit my weight goal (15 more pounds) but yesterday I was feeling adventerous. I firstly made some stupid mistakes. I shoveled in my lunch because I was starving. Then as I was walking from work the 3 blocks to the trails, I started to feel off. But never one to say no, I started to run. I made the circuit and made it back to a washroom before I got sick. Lesson learned.

Today, I ate lunch slowly an hour before my lunch break. I ran twice as far and I didn't get sick!! I've made a break through and I love this feeling.

    Like swimming, one should never try to run on a stomach that's been given food less than an hour before hitting the trail. Only difference is, when running, you won't drown when the badness happens. Like you said, lesson learned. Good luck on your next run. emoticon
