So a year or so ago I was active daily on this site and then I just sort of tapered away. I caught a super cold at my gym and was sick for 2 months. It never occurred to me to wipe the machines down FIRST. And this threw a gigantic wrench in my plan.
I've recently started it up again and much to my delight I am 10lbs away from my target weight. For the first time in 6 years I am under 200lbs.
This means that the lessons and habits I learned initially from joining this site carried with me while I was "away"
I am not the best at eating but I'm far improved from way back 30lbs ago. I started biking to work everyday (even in the snow) So for the first time since highschool I didn't gain winter weight. This is amazing because for the past 10-12yrs i would gain winter weight and keep it on through out the rest of the year and then gain more winter weight. Rinse and repeat year after year. And somewhere along the way, all of the sudden, I was fat. Just snuck up on me.
So yay and Holy Cow.
