A little R&R

Thursday, March 31, 2011

It has been a while since I've written ...I've been wanting to but I'm not sure I can put into words whats been going on in my life. For the past month I have been waking up with sinus headaches and I am miserable. I have been going through another bout of depression... some of it is the headaches, along with other things happening in my life and just a lack of true direction right now. I feel like I have been just putting one foot in front of the other trying to make it through each day without having a major meltdown.

The hubs and I are taking off on Friday for a much needed week of solitude, rest and retreat. I'm hoping the change in location will stop the headaches, since we live in sinus valley. I need the week to just spend time with the Lord, reenergize and reorganize my priorities and my life's direction... and spend some much needed time with the hubs. Plus I get to get some walking and hiking in...yeah!

I may be off the grid for a week...I don't know if they even have wifi where we're going...probably also not a bad thing -to do without all the technology stuff for a week.
I hope to come home rested and renewed and if I lose a pound or two that would be a plus!

Just got this with an email and I thought it was a fitting ending to my blog:

Moral of the Story:

Be thankful for what you have.
Be creative.
Be innovative.
Think differently and positively.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.

Face your past without regret.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear.
Keep the faith and drop the fear.

And remember: God IS in control!
