Day 93: Also Short'n'Sweet

Sunday, April 03, 2011

Mainly because there's some 'sweet' news: the back seems moderately better. I've been winnowing more specific-for-backs exercises, but instead of simply trying to make it more comfortable, I want doable things that will actually strengthen it. I don't want to go thru this anymore! So tomorrow is a new day and we'll see how it goes. But oh, I really am so impatient with this kind of thing. Not if it affects other people (Himself has a very iffy back, and he says I'm a good carer), only when it affects myself.

It was a very late night last night. Our cousin had brought a lot of pictures and old photo albums that had belonged to her mother. She left them with us to scan some in that we can add to the family tree. Best of all, there is a picture of Himself at about the age of 9. What a find! All the old pictures from his childhood - school, Christmases, birthdays, you name it - disappeared after his parents' last big move. We have just four from his early days, so this really is a delightful surprise. When we get it scanned in I will post it in a blog so you can see what he looked liked all dressed up in his knee-pants, lol...

And that's it. I'm going to go rest my back and see if I can get an early start tomorrow.

Goodnight, Sparklers, wherever you are!

-- Back soreness is the worst---- My back board helped me thru this but I suppose a big ball (exercise ball) would work--lay over it--like you are looking up at the ceiling--hold it for 5-10 min--you are strengthening and stretching those back muscles--Lynda emoticon
