*** Ok, Can I borrow a plunger? ***

Thursday, April 14, 2011

I did this blog earlier and today not feeling any better. Found one thing funny last night my DH says we need to invest in (blank) I didn't hear him. My reply was "Honey we can't invest in anything. We are so poor I can't pay attention. He then says "We need to invest in a plunger." LOL we can't even do that.

Not sure where we will get Gas for this coming Monday. God is in control. I have faith we will make it somehow. No worries.

Hope you all have a good day.

*** True Freedom in Forgiveness ***
by -Author unknown

When Bill Clinton met Nelson Mandela for the first time, he had a question
on his mind: "When you were released from prison, Mr. Mandela," the former
President said, "I woke my daughter at three o'clock in the morning. I
wanted her to see this historic event."

Then President Clinton zeroed in on his question: "As you marched from the cellblock across the yard to the gate of the prison, the camera focused in on your face. I have never seen such anger, and even hatred, in any man as was expressed on your face at that time. That's not the Nelson Mandela I know today," said Clinton. "What was that about?"

Mandela answered, "I'm surprised that you saw that, and I regret that the
cameras caught my anger. As I walked across the courtyard that day I
thought to myself, 'They've taken everything from you that matters. Your
cause is dead. Your family is gone. Your friends have been killed. Now
they're releasing you, but there's nothing left for you out there.'

And I hated them for what they had taken from me. Then, I sensed an inner voice
saying to me:

'Nelson! For twenty-seven years you were their prisoner, but
you were always a free man! Don't allow them to make you into a free man,
only to turn you into their prisoner!'"

Hope you find a way to find a plunger

Tomorrow might just be a better day!

I'd let you use our plunger, but the post office would probably
reject it for "foreign matter" : )

I think everyone is in the same boat these days. All we can do is place it in Gods hands and trust that things will work out.

Honey, I here you with the "can't even afford to pay attention"!!! hehe My DH owns his own business and was scheduled to go out of town for a couple of jobs today and return Fri evening, but somebody (a couple of somebody's, I think) hasn't paid him yet and so he can't afford to go work!!! He has eeked out a few dollars for gas, but not enough. So, right now all we can do is tighten our belts and wait. I do hope you find a plunger, tho!!! emoticon These are invalualble little tidbits to have around the house!!! emoticon

Ask for one (a plunger) on Freecycle! Someone may actually give you one!

I walk or ride my bicycle everywhere now. I can't afford the gas, car insurance, and other vehicle maintenance either. This morning, I hauled 3 loads of laundry to the laundrymat on the bicycle. I probably looked like an idiot, but the laundry is DONE! (And I got to count the bike trip as exercise on my fitness tracker.) emoticon
