Middle of the Night Madness

I've had several great weeks strung together. Food is on target, exercise continues to increase. Drinking my Crystal Light like crazy, and not touching diet soda outside of my morning caffeine fix (I don't drink coffee, and that is my one vice, so you can pry that can of diet Coke out of my cold, dead hand) so I can say that I am making a lot of progress. The scales are also cooperating, showing continued losses.

I've been trying to increase my time on the elliptical, slowly but surely. The last time I was working out regularly, and pushing myself, I was 100 pounds lighter. So, knowing I was going to need to do a bit more to get to that point again, and before I could do what I was doing before, I set out to do small increments, and increase from there.

I am up to 20 minutes of non-stop elliptical work before I feel like I am ready to keel over, with legs like Jello. That's a big step up from where I was, even 3 short weeks ago.

So, last night, exhausted from a long day, and an equally long week, I manage to fall asleep just before 8pm. After several awakenings, I find myself up, and prepared to face the day at 2am!

At 2:15, I decided to start my day with a 9 mile bike ride, in 34 minutes. Breakfast of Kashi healthy heart, with dried cranberries, and Silk Almond Milk. That is some good stuff, if you haven't tried it- totally yum!

So... who would have thought my day would have started at that hour , and that I'd be riding my stationary bike in the completely dark house, with the ceiling fan, and light from my iPod, just to make sure I was getting exercise in! Madness!
