I started Stage Two of the Spark Diet several weeks ago. And fell behind. While I'm not one to believe in excuses, let me share with you the ones I've been using.
*Work is too hectic, it's our busiest time of the year, I don't have time to keep up with this.
*I'm tired. I'll get back to it tomorrow.
However, there were some things that came up which were not excuses, yet realities.
*I got sick. Fever-stuck-on-the-couch-body-
aches sick. TWICE. Once a few weeks again and then again this weekend.
With all of that being said, I decided that what I really needed was a "fresh" start.
When it comes to exercise, I had been using the Power90 Videos. While I still plan on keeping these a part of the collection and picking them back up again, I am in need of a change. I noticed on my Facebook page several friends were posting status messages about the "30 Day Shred". Being interested I decided to Google Stalk it. My assumption is that they are referring to "30 day shred with Jillian Michaels".
I shopped for it online. Wal-mart as well as many other online retailers seemed to have it in stock for very reasonable prices. Typically between $7 and $15 from my quick look. Yet the reality is that I have a small collection of work out DVD's already and simply could not justify buying another one. Not until I had truly put in the effort to complete one of the existing ones.
In a last ditch effort I checked out Netflix. To my delight they had the DVD.
My desire is to start the 30 day challenge tomorrow and blog a little about it every day. Mostly for motivation for myself. Get myself back on track. This is also dependent on how I wake up in the morning. Be it well and healthy or sick and feverish. I'm really hoping for the well and healthy.
I also got my nifty notebook to carry with me and remind myself of my Stage Two goals and focus points.
It's time to get back in the game. I have lost 10 pounds. AND HAVE KEPT IT OFF for over a month now. It's now time to get focused to tackle that next 10.
