Day 12 of The 30 Day Shred - Level Two

Day 12 is HARD. However, I love it!

I realized today that I must get new tennis shoes in order to complete the workout without breaking my neck. With all the jumping around I need better grip, especially with the plank positions.

What I think I enjoy the most about level 12 is that even though I feel like I'm dying by the end of it, I am still able to recover very quickly. I honestly believe I gained that after the first several days of pushing myself with the cardio. I'm still pushing myself as hard as I can with the cardio, however the plank moves are more challenging. Those are thus far the only cardio moves I'm having to use the modification on for part of the time.

The double jump rope is difficult. While I can jump high in the air, I can't move my arms that fast. Today I focused on trying to jump HIGH consistently. Tomorrow I will try to bring the arms back into it.

The forward and backward lunges are still HARD. 100% because of my lack of coordination. I literally am having to chant to myself "90 degree knee....keep it straight...90 degree knee...keep it straight..." in order to remember what to do and keep good form.

I did step wrong today to the side. emoticon Yea I know. I felt it. And now I FEEL it. The left side of my left foot feels like it got bruised a little. REALLY hoping I wake up tomorrow all set and ready to go for day 13. If not.. well.. all I can say is 13 has never been my lucky number. LOL.

All in all, it was a good workout (minus the oopsie on the foot). Cant' get too much more detail as I've got to go eat before my fasting starts. Tomorrow in the morning I go for my cholesterol blood workup to find out where my numbers REALLY are. *Fingers Crossed*. I won't hear back for a few days, however, I'm just glad to get it out of the way and get some answers.

I hope everyone's workouts today went well! Now onto the WEEKEND CHALLENGE!!! Let us keep our dedications into the weekend, tackle any temptations that may try to lead us astray, and remember that the weekends still count when it comes to our various challenges we are in the processing of accomplishing! And not to mention, ABOVE ALL ELSE, ENJOY TO THE FULLEST WITH TONS OF LOVE AND LAUGHTER!!!!!!

    So happy to see you getting through! Keep it up! Push your body to get stronger! When you don't think you can possibly do another lunge just push really hard. Mind over body.

    Those lunges were hard for me also. Most of Level 2 was hard for me, what am i saying lol I also have to watch the 90 degree thing with my knees as they are starting to bother me.

    Day 12 was super hard! I didn't feel this badly at the end of the second day of level one. I think I was at least mildly in shape at that point, but now it's where my body is starting to be pushed to the max. It's so hard, but the feeling is great =] I'm glad you're doing so well! I can't wait until this level starts getting better.

    You are doing a wonderful job. The way you are pushing yourself to the next limit is awesome.
    Honestly, I have not reached this place yet, I still baby myself, but one day I look forward to walking a lot faster than I have been able to.
    Sorry to hear about the hurt foot. Ouch!!!
