What is the most important part of the healthy life style

Seems at least once a day I get asked this question....or OMG how did you loose so much weight....
wow it's not that easy to answer either question....but my first thought was Sparkpeople, gave me the right info to help me reach my goals..
but we all have different needs, so we each have to find what works for us.....small changes add up....in the past I would set this strict plan and in a few days or weeks I'd be starving and go back to my old habits....
Once I found sparkpeople I followed the stages, I learned how to set goals , what changes can I make that I WOULD STICK WITH....then it was one day at a time, there is no quick fix, it's my live and I learned that if today was not so good tomorrow could be , it's all up to me....
I found that no one is perfect and just sticking with what is healthy will get me to my goals....
Am I skinny minny today...nope in fact I am still a bit over weight according to my BMI, so that use to bother me, but then I read the article about finding my happy weight, the place where I can enjoy my life, eat healthy exercise most days and not feel like I'm starving....My doctor who I have spoke about before, he had tears in his eyes when I reached MY goal weight...told me I am healthy, have NO healthy issues and need to keep going with this plan as it seem like a miracle to him....For those who don't know I lost over 200 pounds and have kept it off over 1.5 years so far....

So basically find what works for you , it won't happen over night, it will take longer than you think, but you have the rest of your live to get there....find small changes that you can live with , pledge to walk 15 minutes a day or 5 if that's all you can do, when that gets easy add more exercise....decide you want health and don't let any one or anything get in your way of that goal, even yourself....talk to your self each day and reaffirm your goal to be healthy.....
find what makes you happy and stick with it.....blog , talk to friends and family about your goals , your struggles, they want whats best for you too...get those negative feelings out, deal with them, believe you are worth the struggle, because when you have your health you have everything ...

have a healthy Sunday and if your struggling, ask for help....figure out what help you need to reach your goal and learn that FOOD SOLVES NO ISSUE BUT HUNGER....it might make you feel better for a while but then the old guilt and self loathing creeps back in, so feel good about saying NO to junk food...take control over your life, your eating , your body....YOU ARE SO WORTH IT....become someones hero.....
