Is this petty?

Blog #25 - So frustrated.

So this may be petty of me but I'm pretty frustrated with someone at work. When I started losing weight this one person started copying me. It started off with eating the same breakfast as I was. Okay, for the sake of argument, Oatmeal is a great breakfast! So I let that go and it didn't bother me.

Now, last week she started going to the same store that I buy my stuff at. She knows this because she also listens to my phone calls. She has no problem with me knowing it either as she often emails me after I'm off the phone to state a point about my conversation.

Well today she comes in wearing the same dress. EXACT same dress I wore last week with black leggings and sandals. EXACTLY the same thing I wore with it.

I'm beyond frustrated and angry. She can't stand me. She is rude to me all the time. She listens to my phone calls and now she is wearing what I'm wearing?

What would you do?

    I agree with some of the other posts - it sounds like she's insanely jealous! I guess that means that you must be living life right....or at least appear to be emoticon
    That would be frustrating though, I guess I would probably reduce my phone conversations around her and just kind of ignore her. Good luck!

    They say copying is the sincerest form of flattery but that's pretty weird... to give her the benefit of doubt though - maybe she just thought it was a kickin' outfit and wanted it too?

    Just wear the dress better than she does! :)

    All you can do is be proud of yourself and ignore her. If she is inspired by you, great. If she is just trying to pick on you, ignore her (that's what my mom always told me to do with my brothers). Maybe she'll stop if she sees no reaction from you.

    Too bad she feels the need to do this, but you can choose not to let it bother you. Or, if you want to stoop to her level, you can start copying her and listening to her conversations.

    +1 to what was already said. I'm thinking she's jealous of your awesome fashion sense!

    Any way to keep her out of the loop? Like talking about shopping, etc on breaks, via email or just not at all when you're at work. She can't copy you if she doesn't know what you're doing.

    Totes not petty at ALL! Well, its kinda nice that she wants to be you and is rude to you because she is beyond JEALOUS! Haha, but also you probably inspired her which is really great.

    And honestly, she probably doesn't have much to live for - I mean she makes sure to stay up on top of your life - maybe she needs to get her own? lol. sorry, that was mean.

    But seriously, I think the reason she can't stand you is that she is honestly jealous of you, she wants what you have and that makes her angry because she probably has low self-esteem/self-worth and making someone else feel like crap makes her feel better. I know how that is - I did it before - something I'm not proud of, but now can acknowledge it.
