Reality CHECK

Thursday, May 05, 2011

I am ashamed of my eating habits. It is reflecting with the way I feel, the way my clothes fit and what the scale shows. As a turning point, I am keeping a notebook for journalizing, tracking my fitness and food consumption. Now that my schedule is a little bit lighter, it should be easier and less stressful. Not to mention more ME time, finally!

I have one month until my first 20K run therefore I WILL keep on track with my running schedule in order to perform the best to my ability.

I WILL put 100% effort into my morning cross training workouts.

I WILL keep my eating habits clean so I feel good mentally and physically. Even if I do eating something not healthy, I need to be honest with myself and write it down.

So the journey begins to a new healthy and happy Jamie!

Hey there I have been really hungry since I started working out harder
Not sure if staying Lo cal is good but stay within limits on the higher end.
I still lost when I had a bad weekend. I was trying to counteract the calories with more exercise guess it worked!
Keep Sparkling I think your plan is a good one. emoticon

It is really hard to lose weight when your training hard for something. What I do to keep myself on track is map out what SP suggests, or print it off the computer. Then I just classify the suggestions as dairy, fat, protein, fruits, veg, etc. When I eat something, I just put a little checkmark by the calories I've eaten. For me, this is easiest - even having the App on my phone seems to be less convenient than just doing it this way. Spark always suggests the low end of the calorie count - so I create a food "bank" that lets me know how many extra I might have to work with. Hope that helps a little. I'm training for the Dam to Dam too, this will be my 3rd one. This is the first year I've actually lost weight while training...I hope you find your groove sooner than I did.

That's right girl. You go! The experts say people who track their work outs and foods keep weight off more successful. You are starting that habit now so that is great. Good luck with your run coming up.
