I woke up yesterday morning with a scratchy throat, but I put it off as allergies, since the evening before we had mowed the grass and cut weeds, as did my neighbor. So, I assumed it was just that.
But as the evening went on I began to hurt even more. So, going to the Tim McGraw concert last night, of course, yelling and woohooing and shouting and hooping didnt do my throat much good.
And, being out in the cold night air and sprinkling rain, walking to the car after, I am sure only added to it.
So, by the time I got home last night, I knew I was sick. I was aching all over and woke up with a stuffy nose, body aches and sore throat.
I just got over this!
I went and looked at my receipt for when I purchased some cold medicine and it was only March 24th. I thought I was better.
Is my immune system weakened?
How did I get sick again so soon? A good friend of mine who is an RN, told me it sounded like the flu.
So, tomorrow, off I go to the doctor, which I had thought I would be done with until at least June, to get tested for flu and see what I can do to get over this.
But I did have a good time at the concert. If you ever get a chance to see Luke Bryan live, I say go for it.
Tim McGraw was the main attraction of course and he did a great job, but this Luke Bryan guy was fantastic, his band came out playing AC/DC and during the night they played their country songs, blended in with Metallica and even some Lionel Ritchie.
It was a great night.
I only got in a short workout yesterday, and didnt do any today as I felt so bad, althought I have cleaned house and did laundry all day....so does that count for anything?
But we were in the upper section in row M, which meant from the floor we had to walk up 13 very steep steps to our seats and I must have made that climb 4 or 5 times going to the bathroom and for refreshments.
So I am counting that as a "workout" haha.
But, it was a good night.
Although, outside, and we didnt know this until we came out, there was an awful thunder and wind storm hitting the area.
The power did knock at least 2 times inside the arena, but they had back up power and the power never fully went off inside, so we werent even fully aware of what had happened.
The only thing we saw was that the big screens and some of the lighting was messed up for awhile.
But the sound was great, it was booming thundering music and the crowds screams and singing along.
When we got closer to home, we began to see some of the damage, trees and mudslides along the roadway and a roof blown off a drug store in town.
My friend who lives about 3 miles from me still was without power at 5 pm today.
But we were luckier, we didnt lose power and no damage, so that was a blessing.
I am sure hoping I dont have the flu and that maybe it will pass quickly and I can get back to normal, whatever that is.
Hope you all have had a good day. Will add pics my son took a few. Pics are of me and my best friend Pam, my son Jason in the blue shirt, me and my honey Bill in the orange shirts and of course the concert.
