more progress for Aydan

Thursday, May 12, 2011

FINALLY! He finally has his TSS worker to help him in school! He gets her for 3 hrs a day every day, which covers almost his whole morning at school. It has been really helping him! He comes home and is so proud of himself for having a great day and finishing all his work in class. Yesterday he earned 16 tokens, the most he has ever gotten. We went for ice cream to celebrate! Now I need to find a way to help him with the social aspect of his life. Not sure how to do that, but I will find a way! Good days ahead!

Thanks for the clarification on TSS...It's never come up in relation to my Aspie, who is 8 and in 3rd grade. While it's late in this school year, I hope that the services will carry over to next year too.

Depending on where in PA you live, we might be neighbors (I live in the part of S. Jersey just over the bridges from Philly).

thank you all for your support! Someone asked what does TSS stand for, it is theraputic staff support. Someone else asked where I am located. I am in the United States, in Pennsylvania.

Hi.........I am on the Autism team with you........CONGRATULATIONS! I work in the Autism field, in addition to having a boy with Aspergers. It is awesome that you have a TSS and it is making a difference! Just what they are designed to do!

How old is your child? What part of the world do you live in? I might be able to point you in a direction as far as social skills.

Glad to hear your wonderful news!

Glad that Ayden is making progress. What does TSS mean? It's not an acronym I'm familiar with in this context (in my world TSS usually stands for Total Suspended Solids).
