Sugar and Forgiveness

(I posted this on my Facebook page Buster Fitness, but thought I would share my night here too. I posted an interesting link to NES an eating disorder that is being recognized.)


More specifically, chocolate! I had my first rough night in weeks. I came downstairs after everyone was in bed and wanted sugar. I talked myself out of it, but didn't go back upstairs. I started to clean up some dishes in the sink and then wham, I saw the Hershey kisses in a bowl from my son's Easter basket. I've learned to enjoy sweets in moderation, but not at 12 a.m., but it happens, I'm human I wanted chocolate. I am doing photos for my web page in about 5 weeks so I am trying to be spot on with my nutrition which for the time being doesn't include 12 a.m. candy.

So yes, I had a handful of kisses. I don't feel too terrible about it, but I do wish I had been able to get past the sugar cravings. Sugar has continued to be the most difficult thing for me to give up or at least eat in moderation. There are many theories about sugar cravings. I'll post a good link.

I'm past the chocolate issue. I forgive myself. I've come to realize that hating myself after going off plan doesn't solve anything and usually makes things worse. Staying on your food plan is key for your health and weight loss. How we feel emotionally during the day ultimately plays a part in our food choices. If you get sidetracked, take a deep breath and get back on the right track. This happens to ALL of us. Don't let unplanned eating get you down. Today is a new day and you're in charge!

    I still find it hard to control myself when it comes to sugar too so I tend to avoid it at all costs but I'd love to get to a point where a can have the occasional chocolate or sweet and not go crazy and I AM getting there, slowly. Keep up the hard work!

    I keep putting off those pics as my scale (as well as my pants size) is going the WRONG WAY. I buckle under pressure. :(

    Good luck with your goals over the next few weeks, one handful of chocolates is not going to break you. You already look so good, keep your eye on the prize!!

    So proud of you for not letting that slip of sugar bring you down.
    You look amazing now, anyone who becomes your client will be very lucky. You not only will rock those pics, but your experiences will make you a great trainer.

    My weekend wasn't too bad considering I went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary... had no bread, no potatoes/fries had veggies instead. Had some wine though. Yesterday was nieces bday... made all the right choices, except for the wine of course. So this week I plan on being right on with my nutrition.

    You will look even more amazing!!! I know you will.

    Glad you are able to move on today! Yeah I talked myself out of so much this weekend and then seriously caved big time yesterday afternoon! Yes moving on is key and now I want to push even harder and am more determined to see results. YOUr pics will be great for sure!
