I Should Have Known

Sunday, May 22, 2011

I should have known the dishwasher was just barely out of warranty when it went strange-o on me last night. This morning, hubby looked at it and it turns out the went switch is essentially rusted. We might get a few more months out of it after he cleans it up. I am so-o-o-o glad we didn't play full price for the blasted thing! But still, even at less than $100 total price, I'd rather pay more money and get a unit that will last more than one year before going belly up. And money wasn't even that much of an issue when we bought it! I guess our research wasn't all that thorough this time. So, now I get to wash dishes by hand for the next week or so. Maybe it will make me think more about eating and dirtying dishes. Is that the silver lining in all this? emoticon

I enjoy washing dishes by hand it gives me time to think and my kitchen sink has a window that looks out my back yard which is kind of like a woods so I get wild life. Have fun washing those dishes. emoticon

With my arthritis I prefer washing dishes over allowing a maching to do them.

In our house that would be a blessing in disguise. You're right though... you should be able to count on the contraption to run longer than a year.

Thanks for sharing. It will all work out in the end.
