Does anyone else have this problem?

Thursday, May 26, 2011

When I'm on the Elliptical at the gym for any length of time over 10 or 15 minutes, my toes start to tingle and go numb. Not always the same foot either and sometimes both at the same time? Does this happen to anyone else?

Yep! I guess it is pretty common. I just move my feet a little every few minutes or so.

Yupper. Same thing happens to my hands when I'm doing something like NordicTrac that keeps my hands in one place. Just shake it out, it goes away.

Yes, I asked my trainer about that and she says that it's completely normal for that to happen. She said that if you want to prevent it, try picking up your feet a little each stride, not enough to bring them off the foot pedals, but enough that you wiggle your toes a bit each time. It's the constant pressure on the same parts of your feet that will do it.

I have the same issue, but I have stopped tying my shoes as tight and it seems to help. Maybe try that?

yes I do but it is not all the time for me! I HATE this feeling! It makes me want to get off. Still haven't figured out what exactly it is that makes my toes feel this way! hmm..
