10 Tips to Healthier Eating

I need to read an article with that title. Something that will lay out some quick steps to motivate me to make the changes I need to eat healthier, cleaner, BETTER. I'm writing about this today partly because of a Biggest Loser Challenge this weekend (GO PIXIES!!!), but I also have wanted to get back to Spark blogging anyway. So today's topic is....my crappy eating and what I'm going to do about it.
The funny thing is, I know my main problem: not planning properly. My eating habits would improve sooo much if I just had the right snacks on hand and meals ready when I get hungry. Since I don't, I just reach for the nearest treat - even if reaching means going down to the 2nd floor vending machine at work. And as I sit here scarfing down a plain bagel AND a glazed donut, I realize that I really really really need to get back to eating breakfast at home. Get up earlier, stop stalling and get to the gym, get home and eat something that I prepare in MY kitchen before work.
So today starts the long holiday weekend. I do have some cookouts to attend, but I will make it a point to do some serious grocery shopping where I plan out my week's meals and snacks. This has got to get better and the first step is having the good foods available!
