I know I've been MIA for awhile. I didn't completely fall off the wagon (although I did gain some weight back
) but i did take a little time off to deal with all the stress from the end of the year and some new health problems (geez, which I still haven't resolved...)
So, not to completely rehash the last several months, but the short story is that I had some serious health issues to try and resolve plus learning a new job and dealing with family issues since my grandfather's death. So I gained some weight back, eating habits are out of control again (too many "treats") but at least exercise is actually going well, even if my running has regressed....
But it's time to get back to tracking and recording and maintaining my health lifestyle. This time off has been really helpful in reminding me that this health living is a choice, not a "thing I'm forced to do." Some days the choice is definitely easier than others, but nonetheless, it's a choice I make each and every day. And surprisingly, I like making the healthy choices! I feel better when I eat good. I feel great after exercise! (let's face it, no one feels great before or during exercise
) And I love being an active person, who's not afraid of trying things because they will be too hard for me!
So while I may not be were I wanted to be at this time with my weight and my health, I am on the right track again!
And in case you all miss me next week, I didn't fall off Sparkpeople again, I'm heading to Yosemite for a week long "active" vacation! Can't wait!!
