Another week

Wow, what a couple of weeks. Since going on vacation a couple weeks ago, I've really let myself slack on this diet and finally *just* worked out today for the first time since then. And when I don't work out, despite my best attempts I just don't eat well. We're talking even a tostada salad doused in sour cream and TONS of fried tortilla chips (because the stinking restaurant took so long with our food last night) after Disneyland yesterday. I was, however, pleased to see that my 2 weeks of splurging and lack of activity has only cost me 2 pounds. So, today I was back on the wagon. While the kids ate their breakfast I worked out first thing, and because of that found myself eating well all day. It's 9:30pm and I haven't even eaten dinner yet, but may just have some chicken and rice soup since my tummy's upset after last night's dinner.

On an exciting note though, we did some clothes shopping earlier this week, and I was so happy to purchase size 2 pants at Old Navy!! I was shocked, to say the least. I brought a few pairs of pants into the dressing room with me and only had the 2's because they didn't have 4's in the color I liked. They fit and I was oh-so-happy! I bought two pairs. :) Granted they're stretch and I'd probably never fit in 2's anywhere else, but I'll take what motivation I can get!! I am just so longing for that trim, fit athletic body and will not stop until I get there. That's why the pounds are less important to me than the actual look of my body. I want to LOOK athletic and in shape, rather than just fit a certain number. I just want to be healthy- and look it.

I find that over the past couple months I really do not have cravings for sweets much anymore. A lot of times I just have the munchies in general, and will curb that with some 100-calorie Cheez-its or something. (I admit though, that earlier this week I gave in big time to the Doritos craving!)

Well, it's late and the kiddos are almost ready for bed. (They are up late tonight because they took a nap since we thought we were going to Bible Study.) God bless!!
