I Love my refrigerator

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Today I have a working refrigerator! I feel so liberated and NORMAL again. Yesterday, even after the repairman fixed the fridge, I couldn't do more than toss the contents and complete my Peapod list for tomorrow's grocery delivery. I felt numb, and barely able to focus on anything meaningful after the trial of the past (almost) three weeks. I also felt relieved, grateful, and almost healthy again!

It's really very hard to eat "FRESH" when the salad greens get tainted as soon as soon as you open the bag and you can't properly chill them. By the time I got to bed the past few nights I sounded like a sputtering balloon from all the toxicity building up in my system. I was beginning to wonder if I wasn't blowing my whole healthy lifestyle down the tubes.

I learned so much in the past few weeks about survival skills, and for that education, I can never be too thankful. For now, I'm just glad it's over and I finally found the very best appliance repairman on this earth, and the name of the company was GOOD NEWS APPLIANCE REPAIR! I had the number in my book all along, and didn't remember calling them before, so I put off calling them. Now I'm so glad I did; better late than never. I'm sorry to say but they are local to Long Island, but I hope all of you take a lesson from my blogging and seek out references beforehand, and make sure to write yourself a memo as to why you should call them, next to the number. emoticon emoticon

Great news! It is irritating when an appliance does not work properly.

I'm so happy for you, that your refrigerator is back in service. I know you're relieved. It's amazing how we rely on our appliances. I'm still surprised at how quickly a microwave or a computer managed to become a necessity! Doesn't seem that long ago that they were a luxury, and life without them was fine!

Is Peapod a grocery delivery service? I wish we had something like that around here. I have often had to ask my daughter to make a trip for me in recent years, and I'm sure I'll need the help again in the future. It would be nice to have an alternative. She's really busy and I hate to add more.

    Take care,
