Small successes

Well, last nite was one of those nights when I could have really gone into serious snacking mode! I thought about eating potato chips and I told myself I didn't need them, if I want to lose some weight I have to stay away from those. Then before I went to bed, I was going to have a small piece of entenmenn's raspberry twist and again I told myself I didn't need to do that, I had my snack for the night before - a skinny cow ice cream sandwich and that should be it for the night. I can't believe the self talk worked, but I reminded myself that I wanted to get the weight loss started again and if I eat all these extras its not going to happen. Hopefully this works the next time I have the munchies or had a bad day and want to eat! emoticon

    That's great!! I find myself having to do that, too, but it does work most of the time.
