"Do or do not. There is no try." For some reason, these words have stuck with me for the last month or so. I spent two weeks doing and two weeks not doing, and I'm right back where I started. Thankfully, school is out, and I can spend the next two and a half weeks in the gym. Then, I leave for three weeks in Europe, which are sure to be filled with tons of unhealthy delicious foods but also much walking (plus I'm packing resistance bands to do some upper body workouts).
I have decided not to weigh myself again until I get back. That way, if I gain on vacation (in addition to what I am able to do for the next two and a half weeks), I won't know it. If I lose or stay the same on vacation, it will be a pleasant surprise.
Then, when I come back at the end of July I'll have a month to get back into the gym routine before school starts back up again. The best part is that they have pushed back my school's start time by an hour! I'll finally be able to get back into consistent morning workouts!
So, although I have spent two weeks "no doing," I am planning to "do" as much as I can to get myself back to a healthy weight. There is no try!
