Day 170: Rerun
Sunday, June 19, 2011
Much like yesterday, except one of Himself's sons came over for a visit - it's Father's Day here in the UK too. Mother's Day is a different day from the American one, but here, Father's Day is a match.
I made an apple crumble for dessert, with a topping of nonfat ice cream for 'The Dad.' Now, what I did for myself: cored an apple but didn't peel it, and cut it into eighths. I rubbed cinnamon (no sugar) onto the slices and put them in a microwaveable bowl. Plastic wrap over top, then nuked it for, oh, I guess maybe a minute? 90 seconds? Till it was softened, cooked thru, and steaming, at any rate. That was my dessert, sans topping. Pretty tasty, too, if I do say so myself.
Wrote a couple of emails and a short essay, did the half-hour 5K (guess that means I did a quarter-K?), worked outside for a bit between rain showers, and... that was about it.
I don't want to sign off tonight without thanking my fellow Sparklers for reading these blogs and commenting. There are some rough patches right now, and just knowing people are 'out there' is a boost. I appreciate it, genuinely appreciate it. I don't say it often enough, but you know it's from the heart.
Goodnight, Sparklers, wherever you are!
