Didn't even make it a week before I skipped a day!! Oh well, progress, not perfection, right?.

Yesterday was crazy busy once I got moving. I left for the airport at 3:45 this morning so I went to bed early! What's worse is that hubby was gonna take me to the airport so my car could stay at the body-shop all weekend (Husband backed out of the garage without actually opening the garage door) but as we were driving out of town he got a call from the hospital-there was a patient in labor and they couldn't reach the doc on call so I had to turn around and drive him back home so he could go deliver the baby. That put me 15 minutes behind so I had to drive like a crazy person to make it to the airport in time.

Luckily, the only traffic at that time was a turkey and 5 deer that thought it would be nice to stand in the middle of the road for several minutes. Even with those delays I made it to the airport on time.

So.... My trip. It is so hard for me to stay on track during business trips. I live in a really tiny town so when I go out of town, part of the excitement is eating good food. Sushi, Chinese, Mexican... We don't have that in our town. My pattern is this: I go to the grocery store and stock up on healthy food. I start off strong, but as the week professes I get more and more stressed out from business and more and more exhausted from work and by the time I am heading home I am eating fast food three times a day.

I have to stop this pattern! Business travel is why I am sitting here 20 pounds heavier than last year.

My plan: wear my bodybugg and burn at least 2600 calories a day. I can probably do that without exercising since I am generally on my feet all day with these trips, but I did bring my exercise clothes and plan to get out for a walk at least 2 times this week.

Allow myself to spurge a "little" on good food. About 2000 calories a day. That will allow me to eat sushi and even Mexican if I am careful

Toward the end of the week I need to be extremely careful. When I get exhausted I still need to take the time to eat the good food I have bought and not self medicate with fast food.

That's my plan. If anyone has any other tips or suggestions for me, please let me know!!

    Wowzers! I still don't know how you do it - all the travel and stress! I think your plans to stay on track are great! Keep checking in and logging your food, too! That will help!

    Good luck with your plans this week. I'm here to help encourage you along! Do you stay at a hotel on your trips? Have you thought about taking a laptop or portable DVD player and doing DVDs in your room?
