Doing Better

I have been doing better with tracking my food recently. But I am most proud that I actually completed most of my strength exercises for today. I actually felt better after doing that. I read in the Spark Book, you can't improved something you don't respect. I think part of my problem is I haven't respected myself enough to make the changes I need to make. This has been an ahaaa moment for me. I wouldn't treat a friend the way I treat myself, it is definitely time to make the healthy change.

    You sure have it right--we should treat ourselves no worse than we would treat a friend. . .that includes helping ourselves get Healthy. I'm also somewhat guilty of this but working on it!! I've been lazy about getting my exercise recently so I need to make sure I get that in today. Enjoy your weekend.

    I like your last statement. I once read something that said we should always try to be our own best friend. If we are good to ourselves, why should anyone else be. I think the "Respect" idea is right. Sounds like you're on the right track now. Congrats on getting your exercise done. I need to do some of that today!

    Congratulations on your food tracking and working on your strength training. I love your Ahaa moment.
    That's one reason that I like FLYlady. She says that you have to Finally Love Yourself to make progress. Every little bit adds up to make a difference.
